From Latin Persa, Persēs, from Ancient Greek Περσίς (Persís), from Old Persian 𐎱𐎠𐎼𐎿 (p-a-r-s /Pārsa/, “Persia”).

perse + -o, derived from perse (“arse”).[1] Compare dialectal makeaperse (“sweet-toothed person”, literally “sweet ass”), colloquial herkkuperse and e.g. olla makean perään (“to be greedy for sweet”, literally “to be after sweet”).
