      egṑ epistéllō soi perì Persôn hêiper gégraptai
      I instruct you exactly as it is written
    • 460 BCE – 420 BCE, Herodotus, Histories 4.131:
      ἔφη οἱ ἐπεστάλθαι ἄλλο ἢ δόντα τὴν ταχίστην ἀπαλλάσσεσθαι
      éphē hoi epestálthai állo ḕ dónta tḕn takhístēn apallássesthai
      he said that he had been told only to give the gifts and then leave at once
