'χαν ('chan)

  1. Contraction of είχαν (eíchan, they had).
    Τα ’χαν ξοδέψει τα λεφτά όταν έγινε αυτό.
    Ta ’chan xodépsei ta leftá ótan égine aftó.
    They'd spent the money when that happened.

Usage notes

Almost exclusively follows να (na), το (to), τα (ta) or personal pronouns μου (mou), σου (sou), του (tou).
