[edit]Originated from an ancient clan 沙沙貴山君 (Sasaki Yama no Kimi), whose name, according to the tradition of Sasaki Shrine, was derived from ささげ (sasage, “cowpea”), probably with a suffix 城 (ki, “castle”).
